Date of Origination: 1/2/96 Collected by: Paul Martin Last modification: 1/2/96 by PSM Description: These data are the standardized morality ratio for deaths from lung cancer for males in each of 25 occupation categories in England and Wales, 1970-72. The smoking ratio is a measure of cigarette consumption for an occupational order so that in an order with smoking ratio 100 men would smoke the same number of cigarettes ta one would expect on the basis of its age structure and national age-specific smoking rates.
